Thank you Mothers!
We hope all our mother's enjoyed a blessed Mother's Day this past Sunday. Thank you again to Catholic Life Insurance Union, Taylor Branch 47 and our St. Mary's Youth for honoring our mothers with flowers at all the Masses. And thank you to all the women who joined us last Saturday for our Mother, Daughter, Sister Tea. It was an exceptionally lovely morning spent together - celebrating our God given identities as beloved Daughters, Mothers, and Sisters!
Upcoming Ordinations
We pray in a special way for Deacon Ladd Spears and Deacon Kingsley Ohaeri who, God-willing, will be ordained June 14th at 10:15 AM at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Austin.
Deacon Ladd will celebrate his first Mass at St. Mary's in Taylor on June 15th at 9am followed by a reception in the gym. Join us in celebrating!
Monthly Adoration Vigil
Our Eucharistic Vigil and Family Holy Hour takes place tonight starting at 9pm, continuing through the night for 12 hours and concluding Saturday morning at 9am. The final hour from 8am to 9am on Saturday morning is geared toward children and families. Children of all ages are welcome to come and freely explore the practice of prayer and worship, in the presence of Jesus.
For security the church will remain locked during the vigil. For those who are not signed up for a regular monthly hour of Adoration, but would like to come and spend time with the Lord, please knock on the exterior door on the East (Saint Joseph) side in order to enter.
Mass for Seniors
Reminder that the Mass for graduating high school seniors and their families is this Sunday, May 18th at 9am with reception to follow in the gym. Seniors should wear their cap and gown. KC and CDA scholarship applicants must attend in order to be eligible for scholarships.
Pastoral Council
The St. Mary's Pastoral Council, an advisory group for the Pastor, will have three members reaching the end of their term. Members serve on the Council for a three year term. Parishioners interested in serving on the Pastoral Council are invited to call the Church office to place their name in consideration by 4pm today.
St. Mary's Catholic Camp VBS
High School Summer Series
High School students who have received Confirmation are invited to join us for our summer series Wednesday evenings in June 5:45pm-8pm Mass followed by a meal, sharing and fellowship in the convent. No cost, no need to register.
Quinceañera Formation
Please pray for the young women who will be completing their Quinceañera Formation and attending their family retreat on May 31st. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
St. Mary's is hosting Catechist Formation for Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: Children aged 3-6 years. June 18-25. (No training Sunday, June 22, to allow for a rest day.) Cost for parishioners/SMCS parents & teachers is $50 for Level 1/Part 1 course. Coffee bar & lunch included each day!
