Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This weekend, our parish joins Catholic communities throughout the Diocese of Austin is launching the 2026–2027 Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Guided by this year’s theme, Together, we are one, and a diocesan goal of $7.4 million, the appeal invites every household to help make visible the unity we share in Jesus Christ.
“so that they may all be one” - John 17:21
These words from Jesus’ prayer remind us that Christian unity is more than an ideal — it is a way of living. We become one when we pray together, serve together, and share responsibility for the mission of the Church beyond the boundaries of any one parish.
Through the CSA, our gifts work together to:
Form seminarians, deacons, priests and lay leaders for service to God’s people;
Strengthen Catholic education, faith formation, and tuition assistance;
Serve people facing hunger, homelessness, and crisis through Catholic Charities and other ministries of life, charity, and justice; Support youth, young adults, families, campus ministries, and multicultural communities; Provide retreats and spiritual renewal through Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center; Help parishes and schools address important local needs through the Parish and School Grant Program.
Every gift - whatever its size - joins with thousands of others to strengthen the Church across Central Texas. I ask you to prayerfully consider making a pledge this weekend and helping our diocese reach its $7.4 million goal. When each of us offers what we can, we become a powerful witness that, in Christ, we truly are one.
Thank you for your faithful generosity and for the many ways you help our parish live the Gospel. Please know of my prayers for you and your loved ones.
Gratefully in Christ,
Fr. Darrell Kostiha
